Who is generally recommended for annual screening?
These three details come from the USPSTF recommendation used by ALCSI’s assessment. Other guidance differs on when to stop screening after quitting.
A pack-year is one pack a day for one year. The American Cancer Society recommendation does not use years since quitting as a cutoff. A clinician can help you weigh the benefits and possible harms of screening.
