Privacy policy

What happens to information you share with ALCSI and the services linked from this website.

Updated October 12, 2026

Information we receive

Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes the technical information needed to deliver and protect this website, including requests for pages, device and browser information, and IP addresses. We receive information you choose to send through email, contact forms, event or chapter forms, or other ALCSI activities. The details depend on the form or service you use.

This website does not collect answers to the linked screening survey. The survey opens in REDCap; read our health data notice before using it.

Your choice about visit counts

With your permission, Vercel Web Analytics counts visits and page views. We load it only after you select Allow. It does not use tracking cookies. We remove query parameters and fragments from page URLs before analytics events are sent. Your Allow or Decline choice is saved in a first-party cookie named alcsi_privacy_choice for up to 180 days. You can change it through Privacy choices in the footer.

Vercel's analytics privacy documentation describes the data it processes. Declining analytics does not prevent essential site delivery or hosting logs.

Forms and other services

Some actions open services outside this site, including REDCap for screening questions, Google Forms for certain chapter or program submissions, Mailchimp for email, and payment providers for donations. ALCSI may receive information submitted through a form, according to that form's setup. Those services may also process information under their own notices. Please read the notice shown at the point of submission. This website does not receive payment card numbers.

How we use and share information

ALCSI uses information to respond to inquiries, manage activities you join, send communications you request, and operate the website. We may share information with the providers that carry out those functions, with the ALCSI people responsible for your request or activity, or where required by law. We do not sell personal information. We do not share SMS opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing.

Your choices and questions

You can change the analytics choice in the footer, use an unsubscribe link in an ALCSI email, or reply STOP to an ALCSI text. To ask about information ALCSI holds about you, request a correction or deletion, or raise a privacy concern, write to info@alcsi.org. Some records may need to be kept for legal, financial, or program reasons.

If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian to contact ALCSI before sending personal information through a linked form. Parents and guardians can use the same address for questions about a student's information.
