WHO WE ARE

Here at the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, we make it our mission to spread awareness about the importance of lung cancer screening for high-risk patients. Below is our
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statement:

DEI STATEMENT

The American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative is committed to building an advocacy platform that is both internally and externally diverse. Our mission is to develop programs for raising lung cancer screening awareness among all individuals regardless of how one identifies and their background. We aim to actively tailor our efforts to equally impact and support all populations, and believe that contributions from a diverse range of individuals is pivotal in promoting an inclusive approach to our advocacy.

For the purposes of this statement, diversity includes race, ethnicity, nationality, age, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, disability, and other various forms of identity. Equity is the extension of opportunity for all people to contribute to and be positively affected by the actions of The American Lung Cancer Screening Initiatives. Inclusion refers to respecting the active participation of every individual and the encouragement of taking on leadership roles.

We as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee pledge that these principles are upheld and reflected in both the planning and operation of the organization. This sentiment is extended to all members of the American Lung Cancer Screening Initiative, the future members, and any programs we develop and support.
