Massachusetts General Hospital!
What can I expect to learn or take away?
-
The focus of the conference is primarily spreading awareness of lung cancer and lung cancer screening! We will learn from world-renowned faculty from Harvard Medical School, Tufts University Medical School, and Boston University Medical School who are leaders in their field. This year, we have incorporated our High School Innovation Challenge to highlight 10 finalists who have created projects that have furthered ALCSI’s mission.
Is there financial aid?
-
Financial aid will be provided to those who demonstrate financial need and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Please fill out this application by 5/1/2026 for financial aid consideration.
Are my parents allowed to attend the conference?
-
Yes, parents are allowed to attend the conference. However, conference programming is created primarily for high school and undergraduate students. Parents who attend the conference will be required to register, including paying the registration fee.
Where are good places to stay?
-
Some of the hotels nearby include the Royal Sonesta, Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill, Hyatt Regency Boston, Hotel Indigo Boston Garden by IHG, and the Kendall Hotel at the Engine 7 Firehouse. Airbnb options are common and may be more affordable than nearby hotels. Additionally, reaching out to friends and family in the area may be another good alternative.
What does transportation look like?
-
Boston is a VERY walkable city and has a great public transportation system that can get you anywhere in Boston or Cambridge in ~30 minutes. There is a subway stop (known as the T) at Massachusetts General Hospital that is easily accessible.
